This notice explains what personal data RoomGuru Sdn. Bhd. collects through this website and through WhatsApp messages sent from it, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is given under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). It does not cover data we collect in other ways, such as under a management agreement.

01Who we are

RoomGuru Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 202301004963 (1498882-U)), Unit 02-02, Level 2, CIMB Leadership Academy, No. 3 Jalan Medini Utara 1, 79200 Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

02What we collect and where it comes from

  • From you, on WhatsApp. Our buttons open WhatsApp. If you message us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, phone number, WhatsApp profile name and photo, the building and unit you ask about, your messages, and any photos or files you send. Please do not send your IC, passport or bank details unless we ask for them for an agreement.
  • Automatically, when you browse. We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. It uses cookies to collect information such as pages viewed, time on the site, device and browser type, the website that sent you here, and your approximate location (city or country). It does not give us your name or phone number, and we do not use it to identify you.
  • Fonts. To show this site's fonts, your browser loads them from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

03Do you have to give us your data?

No. Giving us personal data is voluntary. You can browse this site without contacting us. If you do not give us your contact and unit details, we cannot reply to your enquiry or assess your unit.

04Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and assess whether your unit suits short-term rental.
  • To follow up with you about our services, if you have contacted us.
  • To understand which pages help owners, improve the website, and keep it running and secure.
  • To keep records and meet our legal obligations.

05Follow-ups

If you message us, we may follow up on WhatsApp about our management services. To stop, reply "STOP" or tell us in any message, and we will stop.

06Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • service providers that run this website for us, such as Google (analytics and fonts) and our website hosting provider;
  • our professional advisers, such as accountants, auditors and lawyers, where needed;
  • government bodies, regulators, courts or police where the law requires or allows.

WhatsApp is run by Meta. When you use WhatsApp, Meta handles your data under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy, not ours.

07Transfers outside Malaysia

Google and our hosting provider may store or process data on servers outside Malaysia. We only transfer personal data outside Malaysia as section 129 of the PDPA allows, for example where the provider is bound by written data protection terms that protect your data to a standard at least equal to the PDPA, or where the transfer is needed to respond to your request.

08Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies with names starting with "_ga". They last up to 2 years unless you delete them. We have turned off Google Analytics advertising features. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The website still works if you do.

09How long we keep it

We keep WhatsApp enquiries only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and longer only where the law requires. We then delete them. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.

10Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask us to:

  • give you access to the personal data we hold about you (we reply within 21 days and may charge the fee the PDPA regulations allow);
  • correct it;
  • stop or limit how we use it, including stopping follow-ups;
  • withdraw your consent, though we may then be unable to keep helping you;
  • send your data to another organisation electronically, where this is technically possible and the format is compatible.

To make a request or a complaint, message us on WhatsApp +60 10-526 8970, email stay@roomguru.co, or write to us at the address above. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.

11Children

This website is for property owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.

12Keeping it safe

We take practical steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse, change and unauthorised access or disclosure. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will tell you as the PDPA requires.

13Language

This notice is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. If the two differ, the English version applies.

14Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Notis ini menerangkan data peribadi yang dikumpulkan oleh RoomGuru Sdn. Bhd. melalui laman web ini dan melalui mesej WhatsApp yang dihantar daripadanya, sebab kami mengumpulkannya, pihak yang kami kongsikan data itu, dan pilihan yang ada pada anda. Notis ini diberikan di bawah Akta Perlindungan Data Peribadi 2010 (PDPA) Malaysia. Notis ini tidak meliputi data yang kami kumpul melalui cara lain, seperti di bawah perjanjian pengurusan.

01Siapa kami

RoomGuru Sdn. Bhd. (No. Pendaftaran 202301004963 (1498882-U)), Unit 02-02, Level 2, CIMB Leadership Academy, No. 3 Jalan Medini Utara 1, 79200 Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia. Kami ialah pengawal data bagi data peribadi yang dikumpulkan melalui laman web ini.

02Data yang kami kumpulkan dan sumbernya

  • Daripada anda, melalui WhatsApp. Butang kami akan membuka WhatsApp. Jika anda menghantar mesej kepada kami, kami akan menerima apa-apa yang anda pilih untuk dihantar, seperti nama anda, nombor telefon, nama dan foto profil WhatsApp, bangunan dan unit yang anda tanyakan, mesej anda, dan apa-apa foto atau fail yang anda hantar. Sila jangan hantar butiran kad pengenalan, pasport atau bank anda melainkan kami memintanya untuk sesuatu perjanjian.
  • Secara automatik, semasa anda melayari laman web ini. Kami menggunakan Google Analytics untuk melihat cara laman web ini digunakan. Google Analytics menggunakan kuki untuk mengumpulkan maklumat seperti halaman yang dilihat, tempoh masa di laman web, jenis peranti dan pelayar, laman web yang merujuk anda ke sini, dan anggaran lokasi anda (bandar atau negara). Google Analytics tidak memberi kami nama atau nombor telefon anda, dan kami tidak menggunakannya untuk mengenal pasti diri anda.
  • Fon. Untuk memaparkan fon laman web ini, pelayar anda memuatkan fon tersebut daripada Google Fonts, maka Google menerima alamat IP dan butiran pelayar anda.
  • Log pelayan. Seperti kebanyakan laman web, pembekal perkhidmatan hos kami merekodkan butiran teknikal setiap lawatan secara automatik, seperti alamat IP, pelayar dan halaman yang diminta, untuk memastikan laman web ini terus berfungsi dan selamat.

03Adakah anda wajib memberikan data anda kepada kami?

Tidak. Pemberian data peribadi kepada kami adalah secara sukarela. Anda boleh melayari laman web ini tanpa menghubungi kami. Jika anda tidak memberikan butiran perhubungan dan butiran unit anda kepada kami, kami tidak dapat membalas pertanyaan anda atau menilai unit anda.

04Tujuan kami menggunakannya

  • Untuk membalas pertanyaan anda dan menilai sama ada unit anda sesuai untuk sewaan jangka pendek.
  • Untuk membuat susulan dengan anda mengenai perkhidmatan kami, jika anda telah menghubungi kami.
  • Untuk memahami halaman yang membantu pemilik, menambah baik laman web ini, dan memastikannya terus berfungsi dan selamat.
  • Untuk menyimpan rekod dan memenuhi obligasi undang-undang kami.

05Susulan

Jika anda menghantar mesej kepada kami, kami mungkin membuat susulan melalui WhatsApp mengenai perkhidmatan pengurusan kami. Untuk menghentikannya, balas "STOP" atau maklumkan kepada kami dalam mana-mana mesej, dan kami akan berhenti.

06Pihak yang kami kongsikan data

Kami tidak menjual data peribadi anda. Kami hanya berkongsi data peribadi anda dengan:

  • pembekal perkhidmatan yang mengendalikan laman web ini bagi pihak kami, seperti Google (analitik dan fon) dan pembekal perkhidmatan hos laman web kami;
  • penasihat profesional kami, seperti akauntan, juruaudit dan peguam, apabila perlu;
  • badan kerajaan, pengawal selia, mahkamah atau polis apabila dikehendaki atau dibenarkan oleh undang-undang.

WhatsApp dikendalikan oleh Meta. Apabila anda menggunakan WhatsApp, Meta mengendalikan data anda di bawah terma dan dasar privasi WhatsApp sendiri, bukan di bawah terma dan dasar kami.

07Pemindahan ke luar Malaysia

Google dan pembekal perkhidmatan hos kami mungkin menyimpan atau memproses data di pelayan di luar Malaysia. Kami hanya memindahkan data peribadi ke luar Malaysia sebagaimana yang dibenarkan oleh seksyen 129 PDPA, contohnya apabila pembekal itu terikat dengan terma perlindungan data bertulis yang melindungi data anda pada tahap yang sekurang-kurangnya setara dengan PDPA, atau apabila pemindahan itu perlu untuk menjawab permintaan anda.

08Kuki

Google Analytics menetapkan kuki dengan nama yang bermula dengan "_ga". Kuki ini kekal sehingga 2 tahun melainkan anda memadamkannya. Kami telah mematikan ciri pengiklanan Google Analytics. Anda boleh menyekat atau memadamkan kuki melalui tetapan pelayar anda, atau memasang alat tambah pelayar Google Analytics Opt-out daripada Google. Laman web ini masih boleh berfungsi jika anda berbuat demikian.

09Tempoh kami menyimpannya

Kami menyimpan pertanyaan WhatsApp hanya selama yang perlu untuk mengendalikan pertanyaan anda dan apa-apa hubungan perniagaan yang menyusul, dan lebih lama daripada itu hanya apabila dikehendaki oleh undang-undang. Selepas itu, kami akan memadamkannya. Data Google Analytics dipadamkan secara automatik selepas 14 bulan.

10Hak anda

Di bawah PDPA, anda boleh meminta kami untuk:

  • memberi anda akses kepada data peribadi anda yang kami pegang (kami akan membalas dalam tempoh 21 hari dan boleh mengenakan fi yang dibenarkan oleh peraturan-peraturan PDPA);
  • membetulkannya;
  • menghentikan atau mengehadkan cara kami menggunakannya, termasuk menghentikan susulan;
  • menarik balik persetujuan anda, walaupun selepas itu kami mungkin tidak dapat terus membantu anda;
  • menghantar data anda kepada organisasi lain secara elektronik, jika perkara ini boleh dilaksanakan dari segi teknikal dan formatnya serasi.

Untuk membuat permintaan atau aduan, hantar mesej kepada kami melalui WhatsApp +60 10-526 8970, e-mel ke stay@roomguru.co, atau tulis kepada kami di alamat di atas. Kami mungkin perlu mengesahkan identiti anda terlebih dahulu. Jika anda tidak berpuas hati dengan jawapan kami, anda boleh membuat aduan kepada Pesuruhjaya Perlindungan Data Peribadi Malaysia.

11Kanak-kanak

Laman web ini adalah untuk pemilik hartanah. Kami tidak dengan sengaja mengumpulkan data peribadi daripada sesiapa yang berumur di bawah 18 tahun. Jika anda berumur di bawah 18 tahun, sila minta ibu bapa atau penjaga anda menghubungi kami bagi pihak anda.

12Keselamatan data

Kami mengambil langkah yang praktikal untuk melindungi data peribadi daripada kehilangan, salah guna, pengubahsuaian dan akses atau penzahiran tanpa kebenaran. Jika sesuatu pelanggaran data peribadi berkemungkinan menyebabkan kemudaratan yang ketara kepada anda, kami akan memaklumkan anda sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh PDPA.

13Bahasa

Notis ini tersedia dalam Bahasa Inggeris dan Bahasa Malaysia. Jika terdapat perbezaan antara kedua-duanya, versi Bahasa Inggeris hendaklah terpakai.
